Hawaiian/Beach Day!

The Allendale High School Student Congress would like to thank everyone in our community who celebrated homecoming this year.  We had a fantastic week with students dressing up for the different spirit days, lunchtime competitions, a Powder Puff game with senior girls winning by a landslide followed by an all school bonfire with entertainment.  We had a VERY SPIRITED assembly, a great football game against Coopersville- with a nice win -and the homecoming dance had a HUGE turnout!

None of this would have been possible without the entire community coming together to make it happen. Thanks SO MUCH to the Music Boosters for the bounce house, Athletic Boosters for running concessions for both the powder puff and homecoming game, WB Pallets for the wood for our bonfire, Kustom Dezins for the stylish Powder Puff jerseys, Amoreena’s Petals for the beautiful flowers for our homecoming court, Plantenga’s Cleaners for the senior court tuxedo’s, the AHS wrestlers for setting up the stage for the

postgame ceremony, the Pep, Jazz and Marching Bands for entertaining us all week, our football coaches for going above and beyond to officiate for the Powder Puff game, Mr. Watson for being the BEST Powder Puff announcer ever, Mr. Hadden, Mr. Remenap, the office staff and our teachers for staying flexible and letting us celebrate being Falcons for the entire week!

Congratulations also to our homecoming court representatives which included freshmen Linnea Hartz and Jacob Bylsma, sophomores Sarah Koning and Josh Hinken, Juniors Carrie Lammers and Zach Morris and Seniors Ana Tymensky, Wyatt Zeef, Kaileigh Baia, Jacob Wiersma, Rachel Bradshaw, Clayton VanFarowe, Brooke Vredeveld, Tucker Kloote and our homecoming King and Queen; Reuben Nyenhuis and Heather LaBrecque!

Student Congress had a great time planning our festivities and thank you for coming out and celebrating with us ALL WEEK!!
