Governer Rick Snyder with Robotics Team at the Delta Plex

Allendale Robotics is comprised of programs for all age levels, starting with Jr. FLL from 1st to 3rd grade, FIRST LEGO League (FLL) from 4th to 8th grade, FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) for 7th and 8th grade, and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) for 9th to 12th grades. The Robotics programs are based out of Allendale but its team members come from Allendale, Jenison, Coopersville, Calvin Christion, Hudsonville, and Home School communities. In the 2014-15 season the programs reached over 50 students.

The FTC Team 7023, HexaSonics competed at the State Championship event in Battle Creek where they captained the Winning Alliance for the Edison Division and they became State Finalists. This placement earned advancement to the Super Regional in Des Moines, IA. Their placement at the Super Regional earned them advancement to the World Championships in St. Louis, MO at the end of April.

The FRC Team 4003, TriSonics, is the High School robotics team. At the end of district events, the TriSonics earned their advancement to the State Championship that was held at the Delta Plex in Grand Rapids April 8th through the 10th. . At the State Championship the TriSonics have placed 46th out of 347 Michigan FRC teams and earned an advancement to the World Championships in St. Louis, MO a the end of April. The Allendale Robotics program is proud to have teams in FTC and FRC representing us at the World Championships.
