The Allendale Public Schools’ Alumni Hall of Fame has been established to celebrate the achievements and talents of our distinguished alumni from Allendale Public Schools. The APS Alumni Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have made exceptional achievements in their field, significant contributions to Allendale Public Schools, and/or unique contributions to their communities on a local, state, national or global level. The selection of these individuals is intended to recognize and encourage a tradition of excellence, achievement, commitment, and dedication.

Allendale Student Receives National Recognition

OSam Austinn Sept. 9, 2015 the National Merit Scholarship Corporation notified Samuel Austin, a senior at Allendale High School, that he has been named as a National Merit Semi-Finalist. This honor was based on Sam’s PSAT score being one of the highest in the State of Michigan and allows Sam to compete for one of 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million. Next, Sam will fulfill several requirements to hopefully advance to the Finalist level of the competition which will be announced in February.

Sam is president of the National Honor Society, vice president of the Rotary Interact Club, vice president of the student council, member of the First Robotics and track team, captain of the cross country team and is currently ranked #1 academically in the senior class. Sam also taught a Middle School rocketry program this summer. Sam is the son of Cynthia Wallentine and David Austin.

Nominations Encouraged for Michigan Lottery’s Excellence in Education Awards to Honor Outstanding Educators

Teacher Boot Camp: Allendale Educators Prepare for 2015-2016 School Year

Allendale educators went back to school this summer to help prepare for the new school year. Ottawa Area ISD conducted hands on learning opportunities which included: Classroom Planning, Leverage Leadership, Standards Based Grading, Student Learning and Instructional Skills.
