Allendale Public Schools was one of 425 districts in the U.S. and Canada, and one of only fifteen Michigan schools to achieve this prestigious designation.
Simultaneously achieving increases in access to Advanced Placement® courses for a broader number of students and also maintained or improved the rate at which their AP students earned scores of 3 or higher on an AP Exam. The staff’s commitment to expanding access to Advanced Placement coursework while also improving student performance has earned our district this prestigious award. More than 90 percent of colleges and universities offer college credit, advanced placement or both for a score of 3 or above on AP Exams.
“We applaud the extraordinary efforts of the devoted teachers and administrators who are fostering rigorous work worth doing. These educators have not only expanded student access to AP course work, but they have enabled more of their students to achieve on a college level-which is helping to create a strong college-going culture,” said College Board President, David Coleman.
